I saw the message you posted on the discussion board
(pasted below). I've looked up Google's policy on using
screenshots.
Here are the relevant bits:
"You don't need our permission when you want to use an
unaltered screenshot of our homepage (Google.com) or
the search results page for instructional or
illustrative purposes."
"We ask that you put the following tagline beneath any
image featuring a Google product screenshot or data:
Google and the Google logo are registered trademarks of
Google Inc., used with permission."
I'm going to publish your submission after I send this,
but if you'd like to edit your submission and add the
tagline you can do so at any time up until the
challenge deadline of January 17, 2013 at 5pm EDT.
Let's suppose you're right, if it's really true that Google Voice can solve such a big problem and knowing Google's nature of exploring new ideas, don't you think they've already thought of such an idea? I don't really use Google voice but from what I'm reading thus far, if I'm not mistaken that you must sign up for a different number with Google voice and transfer that number to your own local number, kind of like hiding your number, then it doesn't work for 2 reasons. #1, you're doubling the number of phone numbers there are out there, #2, your private numbers are not really private unless you specifically ask your provider to keep it private. I can't recall but I think some providers even charge a fee to do that! My number had been listed on the Do Not Call Registry for years when I transferred from AT&T to Comcast for cable. About a month after, I all of a sudden began receiving all these marketing calls and I doubt the callers even realize my number is registered with the DNCR, so like many of us out there, I too get frustrated but I'm not about to get a new number to redirect to my own for sake of getting rid of these marketing calls.
SO .... I am totally confused now. Please help us out. The moderators hereby are now allowing, but previously had banned before, something, a truly viable and currently working solution suggested by many, that as per rule book clearly states that if it had already been in place for quite some time, it cannot be considered for entry into this exercise funded by our government that can't pay it bills as it borrows 46 cents out of very dollar spent? How is it again that you are coming up with the $50,000 prize for this game?

We complied fully as can be seen at http://FTCblock.com and also as indicated in my previous post.
Incredibly, 2 days later and a full 2 weeks after our original submission, it still has not been published. Go figure!
I am guessing that Marny simply does not have time enough to respond here and review dozens of submissions too.
