ALL CALLS IN THE U.S. (EXCEPT 911) HAVE TO GO THROUGH A 2 STEP CAPTURE PROCESS TO GET THROUGH; THE CALLER HAS TO ENTER THE CODE NUMBERS HE HEARS BEFORE THE CALL GOES THROUGH.
Voice recogition systems can already understand my SS# or Credit Card # when I say it on the phone. How long would it take to add voice recongnition to a robocall?
the real problem is voice recognition systems are impossible to beat, unless you synthesize the voice so only a human can recognize it. like music in the background while the pass code is spoken, etc.
right now, the robocalls just start the recording as soon as the phone is answered. i don't think voice recognition systems can make the determination.
Lies! I still have trouble with voice recognition systems, long words, hard to pronounce words, etc. The chaptcha system could pronounce the pass codes badly, designed to fake out the voice recognition systems.
Besides, the captcha system could say, enter the number that is that equals 1 + 1.
There are a variety of ways to beat a voice recognition system.
the problem is no one has spent the time analyzing the various ways to beat the voice recognition systems.
until now, the problem of beating voice recognition systems has never been an issue.
a fool's errand, so to speak.
but, with robocalls possibly using voice recognition systems to defeat the captcha system, the time to spend time analyzing ways to beat voice recognition systems has come.
